1. Selection of installation site and materials

Refer to the client's documents, the installation area is flat cement roof, which the load capacity is 30kg/m2 normally.

Then you need to examine the effect of shadows, such as trees, high walls and other obstacles.Also ensure that the installation faces south.

Based on the photos and satellite map provided by the customer, we confirmed that there are 5 installation locations that can be used on the roof.



2.Selecting the right PV module

The customer required a power generation capacity of around 60KWH.

According to NASA data, we can conclude that the effective power generation time in the local is 3 hours, requiring roughly 20KW of panels.

Then by calculating the installation area and the size of the solar panels, we chose the higher efficiency 320W monocrystalline total 72 pieces,

which is also the mainstream module.

Thus, the optimal installation location is 36 panels each for area 1 and 5, with the panels in each area arranged in 3*12 array.


3.Design the bracket

Depending on the installation requirements, we can choose galvanized U-beams with higher strength.

4.PV series-parallel design

To reduce the risk factor, we have linked the systems installed on roofs 1 and 5 separately, which in turn can be controlled separately.

Since the total solar power of each roof is 11.5kW, we have equipped each system with a 10kW energy storage inverter, which can reach a maximum

input power of 13kW.

The optimal input voltage range is 500V-600V, while the voltage of each solar panel is at 30V. To achieve the optimal standard, we need to connect 18

of the 36 panels in series and then in parallel. This gives us a DC input voltage of 540V.

Through the inverter, the 540V will output a 3-phase AC voltage of 380V.


5.Cables

All PV systems should preferably be equipped with special copper cables.

Add waterproof connectors at the cable jionts.

The diameter of the cable also needs to be designed according to the current passing through, for example, such a 10KW system, the output design

can use 6 square cables.

In addition, the PV module and the inverter part need to link the ground wire.


6.Battery

Unlike pure grid-connected PV systems, energy storage systems can not only access electricity from the grid, but also link batteries to store energy

if there is a surplus of power generation.

This design is usually used under a "peak and valley" tariff policy.

When the tariff is at its peak, stored electricity is used, and when it is at its trough, grid electricity is used.
